Commissioned by Province Groningen AchterboschZantman Architects in cooperation with Anne Makkink redesigned the interior of an office in Veendam. Divisions on different locations are to be combined in Veendam. Instead of building a new office the Province decided to re-use an office dated from ’80. The whole interior was stripped down even the technical installations.
The assignment was to introduce a flexible workspace. ‘Het Nieuwe Werken’. From all over the Province employees will experience new colleagues and a new office. Together with a few representatives we developed a concept. A recognizable identity with ‘Grunniger Ommelaand’ as the main inspiration. This thematic, within we used mostly natural products, is developed in different themes divided the four building wings. The project is designed and realized in only half a year!
