At the backside of a characteristic mansion from 1907, with many typical elements from the beginning of the twentieth century, a new attachment appears.
We didn’t want to attach a volume, but to let the interior predict the outside volume. This way a different shape appears. More closet space is the founder of multifunctional walls. The wall as one uninterrupted furniture piece that flows from interior into the exterior.
This wall forms a connection for every space. It meanders outside and becomes the façade. This movement makes the connection between inside and outside. The wall is in harmony with elements of the existing furniture and is one with the new English garden. The arbour in a corner of the garden is equally shaped and materialized.
