Part of the new A7 is the leveled crossroad. From start the plan was to make two bridges. Later on OAK designed instead an oval roundabout. The oval roundabout is situated between the two wooden bridges. It forms the connection between in the city center of Sneek with the surrounding area, direction Ijlst.
Important is the awareness of the ecological structure. By making a green ramp and vertical green walls a green crossroad commenced. Not only pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles cross each other also the flora and fauna. The overgrown walls fit well with the wooden ‘ring’ of Accoya and have a relationship with both bridges.
